What do you get when you mix a healthy serving of food addiction with a splash of game show obsession? You get Stephanie Snipes. Stephanie is an editorial executive who has worked at such places as CNN, The Oprah Winfrey Show and OWN. In her free time, Stephanie reads (and rereads) cookbooks and watches an obscene amount of food TV (or Match Game marathons on GSN). She also cooks … a lot.

Stephanie lives in Atlanta with her dogs Emmie and Sophie who support the cooking, but would rather be playing fetch.

If your house was on fire what 3 kitchen gadgets would you save from the flames?

First of all, Emmie and Sophie as they are my best cooking companions (I know you didn’t ask but my dogs would always come first!). For gadgets, I would definitely say my Microplane. I love to use it for garlic and ginger, especially. And, my Thermapen is a must have. My protein game has never been the same. Third? I would probably have to say my stand mixer.

What 3 things are ALWAYS in your fridge?

Eggs, cause… breakfast… and baking. Half and half. There’s no better way to start the day than a hot cup of Earl Gray with a splash of cream (sorry coffee drinkers!). And, Sir Kensington’s Chipotle Mayo. I use this stuff on everything. It’s especially yummy as a sauce for roasted Brussels Sprouts (add some goat cheese and life is good).

What food completely grosses you out?

M.U.S.H.R.O.O.M.S. Ew, yuck, gag.

What are your favorite restaurants?

There are so many. And, so many left to try! I definitely have to say Girl and the Goat and Little Goat Diner in Chicago. Stephanie Izard is a bad ass and her food is delicious. I’m also a big fan of Davanti Enoteca -- also Chicago (make sure and order the vasi with house made ricotta and honey comb). And, Husk in Charleston, SC. I planned a whole trip around going to this restaurant. Their brunch did not disappoint!

What are your go-to cookbooks?

Anything Ina Garten. She is the queen!

Dani is no stranger to delicious cooking. From a very early age she got her first taste of true southern comfort food from her grandmothers. By age 12 she was cooking dinner regularly for her family. During the rise of food TV, Dani developed an interest in learning more about cooking and set off to explore new flavors and cooking methods that she hadn’t experienced before. It stuck. Now, Dani is always trying new things and once even roasted a whole suckling pig for her foodie friends!

Dani lives in the Atlanta area with her son and cat.

If your house was on fire what 3 kitchen gadgets would you save from the flames?

My knives. I had no idea what I was missing before i learned how to use a good, sharp knife. Second, the microplane is going with me. Chocolate, garlic, ginger...hell, I have even used it on Parmesan Cheese! Finally, my food processor. It is a giant piece that I wasn't sure how much I would use, but I am constantly breaking it out! I love it! And it is red!

What 3 things are ALWAYS in your fridge?

Diet Pepsi - because I have to
Cheddar cheese
Pickles - At least 3 varieties of pickled veg. Cauliflower, cucumber, okra, green beans. I have all the pickles!

What food completely grosses you out?

Runny egg. Break the yolk if you have to, but if anything comes oozing out of my egg, I won't eat it or anything else on the plate.

What are your favorite restaurants?

Umi Sushi in Atlanta - the most amazing fresh sushi and beautiful crafted cocktails in Atlanta. Butter in NYC. Hi Chef Alex! :-)

What are your go-to cookbooks?

I'm Just Here for the Food by Alton Brown has been a staple for a long time now. That book has taught me so much about different types of cooking techniques and I still go back to it to check my memory.
